Meeting Minutes

 

 

PRESENT:

Sandy Church, Chris Haines,  Kim Pritt,  Mary Ann Braunbach, Richard Nenni,  Linda Smith

ABSENT:  Aric Albright

 

CALL TO ORDER:

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Sandy.  The Pledge of Allegiance followed

 

ADJUSTMENTS TO AGENDA:

None

 

CONFLICT OF INTEREST CHECK:

None

 

APPROVE MINUTES:

A motion was made by Chris, seconded by Mary Ann  to approve the minutes of the

July 16, 2015 meeting as written

Motion passed unanimously

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

CoA – 114-118 North Main Street  (Sign)

Michael Bonafede submitted a Certificate of Appropriateness application to repaint an existing sign at 114-118 North Main Street.  The application included a phote of the new sign as well as the colors he chose.

A motion was made by Chris, seconded by Richard to approve the CoA application for the sign 114-118 North Main Street as submitted

Motion passed unanimously

 

CoA – 105/107 North Main Street (doors & awnings)

David Snell submitted a Certificate of Appropriateness application for new exterior doors and awnings at 105/107 North Main Street. 

Doors:  The 3 new exterior doors would be fiberglass with a wood grain appearance. 

A motion was made by Mary Ann, seconded by Kim to approve the installation of the doors at 105/107 North Main Street.

Motion passed unanimously

Awnings:  A sample color and a photograph indicating where the awnings would be located were both submitted.  The application stated that the material would be canvass.  The HPC will require a sample of the material submitted with future applications for awnings.  There was discussion on the color choice for the awnings.   

A motion was made by Chris, seconded by Richard to approve the application for the installation of the awnings at 105/107 North Main Street as submitted. 

Motion passed unanimously

 

CoA – 20 East Bank Street (Roof)

Francesco Corso submitted a Certificate of Appropriateness application to install a metal roof at 20 East Bank Street.    He included photos in his application of the roof’s current poor condition and a sample of the metal roofing material he would like to use.  The sample was black.   Mr. Corso’s application was amended to indicate that “black” would be the color used on the roof.  Discussion followed concerning the roof and its proximity to a main street .

A motion was made by Mary Ann, seconded by Linda to approve the installation of a black metal roof at 20 East Bank Street.  It is understood that metal roofs in the historic district are reviewed on a case by case basis.

Motion passed unanimously

A motion was made by Mary Ann, seconded by Chris to adjourn the meeting at 7:28 pm.
